STATE-OF-THE-ART R&D FACILITY?

Recognized by DSIR, the state of the art R&D facility at Crystal Crop Protection Limited’s Bangalore site focuses on advanced genotyping and Marker Assisted Breeding (MAB). The deployment of MAS technology enables breeders to develop improved hybrids and varieties faster and with greater accuracy. The molecular biology lab also performs marker based seed purity analysis, supporting our high standards in quality assurance.

Crystal Crop Protection Limited has a dedicated team working on Doubled Haploid (DH) production, with standardized, high throughput DH protocols successfully established in Sweet Pepper, Hot Pepper, and Cucumber.

Our specialized plant pathology unit, supported by expert pathologists and molecular biologists, plays a key role in breeding disease resistant vegetable crops. The unit also conducts extensive seed health testing following ISHI Veg international protocols.

A strong team of plant breeders and agronomists works in close collaboration with the biotechnology and pathology teams to leverage cutting edge research and deliver high performing, resilient seed solutions for farmers.
